ALMI Elects New Board and Hosts Inaugural Summit

Supported by FLMI, Inc., ALMI was founded in 2023 by a dedicated group of 50 professionals from the laboratory medicine, in vitro diagnostics (IVD) industry, and IVD regulatory sectors.

ALMI's mission is to serve as a vibrant communication platform for professionals to learn, collaborate, and support each other. Through this initiative, members have access to a variety of webinars, seminars, and meetings designed to enhance communication and knowledge sharing within the laboratory medicine community.

In a notable development, besides the foundational support from the board of directors, ALMI has successfully elected its own board of directors to steer the alliance towards its goals. This new board will play a crucial role in representing ALMI members in discussions with other professional groups and in organizing future events to foster the exchange of ideas and collaborations.

One of the alliance’s first major initiatives was the organization of the Summit of Lab Medicine Innovations, held in January 2023. This event marked a significant milestone, providing a platform for members to showcase their innovative work, share experiences, and learn from industry peers. The summit was celebrated as a success, highlighting the collective effort and expertise of ALMI’s members.

With a focus on cultivating breakthroughs and fostering interdisciplinary collaborations, ALMI is committed to keeping its members at the forefront of IVD innovations and regulations.
